Transaction Type:
December 2014
Deal Value:
£6m investment

Oakley Capital Corporate Finance (‘Oakley’), the independent, pan-European, corporate finance firm offering expert specialist advice across the TMT sector, has advised Living Bridge, the private equity investor, on a £5.74m investment in IP Solutions (UK) Limited (‘IP Solutions’), a unified communications provider, supplying SMEs and corporate businesses with an integrated range of communication technologies.

The Oakley team, led by Anthony Yaneza, Assistant Director, Chris Brooks, Managing Director and Marc Horn, Associate, were closely involved in the deal process from the outset.

Based in London, IP Solutions was established in 2001 by Keith Purves and Paul Richards. The business quickly established a solid customer base of SMEs and corporate clients ranging from 50-500 users. Customers come from sectors such as financial services, retail, recruitment, not for profit, healthcare and legal. Solutions are delivered through a range of communication technologies such as Hosted VoIP, Cloud Based Contact Centre, Inbound Call Management and Mobile Services and delivered as a Managed Service with a single point of contact.

Living Bridge is a mid-market private equity investor with offices in London, Birmingham and Manchester and had £1.3bn funds under management as at 30 September 2014. Living Bridge’s investment will support the management as they continue to expand into new geographies and build upon their excellent customer service and technical capability.

Anthony Yaneza commented:

“We are delighted to have advised Living Bridge for the second time this year in the telecoms sector and continue our strong relationship with the team. IP Solutions brings another high growth telecoms company into their expanding TMT portfolio.”

Oakley has grown strongly in 2014, advising on 9 deals since the beginning of 2014 including the announced take-private of Daisy Group, the investment by Living Bridge into Metronet (UK), the investment of KKR into the Hut Group and the IPOs of Just Eat and Manx Telecom.

Since its establishment in late 2007, Oakley has completed over 50 transactions with a total enterprise value of more than £5 billion.
