Oakley advises Lyceum Capital on £30m Adapt buy-and-build

Growth investor Lyceum Capital (“Lyceum”) was advised by Oakley Capital Corporate Finance (”Oakley”) on its investment in Adapt (“Adapt”; “the Company”), a leading Managed IT Services provider. The £30m deal will back Adapt as it executes a buy-and-build strategy to capitalise on market opportunites. Oakley assisted Lyceum as sole corporate finance advisor throughout the process.

Established in 2001, Adapt has developed into a £35 million turnover business with currentEBITDA of £3.9 million. The business is headquartered in central London and employs over 100 people. The Company delivers enterprise-class cloud, infrastructure management, network and data centre services to a wide range of mid- market clients that operate business critical IT applications. It serves a broad client base, many of which are fast growth businesses includingPKR, Cubic Transportation, Last.fm, LOVEFiLM and LCH.Clearnet.

The Adapt deal is the ninth transaction completed by Oakley in 2011 and underlines its combination of market knowledge and execution skills. So far this year Oakley has completed three hosting and managed IT services deals including Adapt, the disposal of Acens, the Spanish managed hosting provider to Telefonica in June and the sale of IP Partner, a German co-location and managed hosting company to QSC for up to €25m in January.
