Oakley Capital Corporate Finance (”Oakley”) has acted as co-advisor to the leading Spanish SME hosting provider, Acens Technologies Group (“Acens”; “the Company”), on its sale to Telefonica. The disposal for an undislosed sum, which was signed in June and completed recently, enhances Telefonica’s cloud strategy in Spain.

Founded, in 1997, Acens is a leading provider in the Spanish market of managed hosting, domains and shared hosting, focusing on providing competitive packages and solutions forSME customers and self-employed professionals. The Company is also a pioneer in the development of cloud hosting solutions in Spain. Acens has over 6,000 square metres of data centre capacity in Madrid and Barcelona and has offices in Valencia and Bilbao.

Acens was owned by Nazca Capital (“Nazca”), a major mid-market Spanish private equity investor founded in 2001. Nazca is the most active investor in the Spanish mid market by deal volume, having completed 33 deals since formation, with 11 further acquisitions for portfolio companies. Nazca is currently investing its third fund, which has raised €200 million from European institutional investors.
